Amy and I got into Segou yesterday afternoon after waiting for hours to find a ride from Djoro, despite it being market day. We hung out at the bureau for a while and then headed to the Djoliba Hotel for pizza night. What pizza? Yes. It’s expensive. 4 000 cfa, about 8 US dollars. Which I suppose many people reading this might not think that’s a lot but when your monthly income is 136,000 cfa around 275 US dollars it’s a lot.
Today is Kyle’s Birthday so we are heading to the pool in town for the day. Before that Amy and I are heading to the Tailor to get some sweet pants made.
I’ve been sporting this headwrap all morning. This is what Malian women wear everyday all the time. I imagine it getting pretty hot but I rarely wear it. Amy thinks I’m crazy, true. Well I’m off the tailors. I’ll write more about projects and whopping cough later.

This is me tying my headwrap.

Lookin good.
